Steps
- Create a separate store for each source catalog.
- In Connectors, choose the available platform, enter the authorized data and confirm the domain and currency.
- Test the connection before importing. Then import the batches and review their results.
- Integrate the search layer into the theme using the corresponding kit and validate on a copy before publishing.
Import is not equivalent to full installation
The documented Shopify, BigCommerce, PrestaShop, Magento, and Tiendanube connectors are limited importers. They should not be presented as certified native applications or universal installations. Theme kits require reviewing selectors, CSP, and commerce behavior.
Important limits
Regional pricing, B2B rules, complex variants, multi-source inventory, and custom discounts are not equivalent to public base pricing. Batches can update records without automatically deleting all withdrawals at source. Check connector limits before publishing.
Own development
The Batch API supports up to 500 products per request with authorized integration token. The public interface uses a separate public key. Order tracking and search engine insertion require their own integration; importing data does not activate it on its own.
How to verify it worked
The imported catalog matches the source and recalled products, prices and stock have been reconciled.
